Oatmeal Porridge

Oatmeal porridge is a fantastic breakfast option that is not only delicious, but also very healthy. With an unlimited amount of topping options, this recipe can turn any oatmeal sceptic into a devoted fan. Creamy, hearty and warming. A perfect way to start a winter’s day.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup (90g) porridge oats
  • 1 1/4 cups (310ml) milk
  • 1 banana sliced (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put the porridge oats and milk into a small pot over a medium heat.
  2. Bring the porridge to a boil and boil for 1 minute while stirring
  3. Serve straight away topped with your favourite toppings…

  • Fresh fruit
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Dried fruits
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon
  • Nut butter
  • Brown sugar

I used one banana, dried cranberries, walnuts, pecan nuts, and a dash of honey and cinnamon.
