Creamy Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara is a known classic that probably many of you have ordered at a restaurant. The main can also be made at home, and is great to make when you crave a bit of comfort food. Just a handful of ingredients and you have yourself a wonderfully indulgent meal.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb (400g) pasta
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small can Nestle cream
  • 1 cup (75g) sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated cheese
  • 1 cup (135g) diced ham/bacon
  • 3/4 stick butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare pasta. Set aside (cover) once done.
  2. On medium heat, saute ham and mushrooms in butter.
  3. Add the milk first, slowly stirring so the milk won’t stick to the pan.
  4. Add half cup of grated cheese while stirring constantly.
  5. Cook for 15 min. continue stirring
  6. Serve over pasta, add bacon bits on top.
